Meet this APHA Speaker:

- What Does A Patient Advocate Do?
- How To Make The Most Of Your 15 Minutes
- Reasons That You Need A Patient Advocate
I have been practicing patient advocacy for 21 years for my son. He was born with a rare genetic disorder with only 15 diagnosed cases worldwide. Additionally, I dealt with many uncommon and challenging illnesses both for myself and my family.
You’ve heard the saying: “it’s not personal, it’s just business.” Obviously, for me, it IS personal. That is why I became a board certified-patient advocate. As an independent patient advocate, I have worked with major insurance companies across the country and over 100 different healthcare providers.
With 30 years of public speaking experience, my new mission is to empower attendees to become better consumers of their healthcare services. Utilizing my extensive personal and professional experience, my presentations are both entertaining and informative.
Each talk can also be offered as a webinar and can be adjusted in length to accommodate a wide variety of venues. I am also available to moderate panels concerning patient rights and responsibilities.
Additional topics are available upon request.
